End of Summer

I can’t believe that August is around the corner. It literally depresses me to walk by store windows and see mannequins dressed in layers of clothing staring back at me. Sandals are now at the back of the stores and sneakers and various other closed toe type shoes are in the windows. Why is retail 6 months out anyway? It’s almost 100 degrees here with the humidity and I refuse to try on wool, tweed, boucle or anything else like that!

An Addition to the Family

We adopted a dog that we named Wolfen. From what we can tell, he's a pit/shephard/chow mixture. He's the sweetest thing, always wants to cuddle and lay his head in my lap. But with magui come much responsibilty! I had to hire a dog walker, and it ain't cheap, obedience class ain't cheap and if we go away for the weekend, we gotta get a sitter...and it ain't cheap. A doggie shampoo costs almost as a trip for me to the salon! But he's worth it. See for yourself.

The Yarn Crawl

What is a yarn crawl, you might ask? Well, it's like a pub crawl except there is no liquor involved, just yards & yards of yarn. We hit up stores in Downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn. Which I never would venture to Brooklyn to seek out yarn stores so I'm glad that Katy organized this outing.
